reflection on camtasia

In one of the class during ICT learning period, we were taken through video editing on camtasia. Camtasia is software created and published by TechSmith. Before I was aware of cam tamtasia’s facilities, I was wonder how do they edits videos and audio in any forms and style having attractive visual for the audience in looks.

In this globalize world I found camtasia video edition is important either being teacher of parents in our near future because with the help of camtasia facilities we can manipulate the teaching style in the form of audio visual so the it cater all the students in regards of different learning style irrespective of abilities. There are two types of camtasia software, camtasia 6 and 8, so our tutor familiarized about camtasia 6.

Practicing is the key feature in development of and skills in our life and the numbers of practice directly proportional to our growth both physically and mentally. During one the class our tutor let us to practice how to edit a videos and audios using camtasia application. I had few videos collected within the college campus like student’s movements, environments and few attractive scene and views on Paro valley. 

 

So, conclude my reflection, I would like to upload few pictures and video that I have practice in my last class. The learning of editing and practicing the camtasia movie edition was fun at the same time I felt that this module would have introduce in earlier semester so that we would have developed more skills in usage of camtasia.

Reflection on Google classroom

In this 21st century and classroom teachings are now replaced by technology unlike during our time. Until now I don’t have any idea of google classroom but after introducing google classroom in the ICT class I came to know that, Google the classroom is free web service develop by Google for schools that aim to simplify creating, distributing and grading assignments in a paperless way and Google Classroom can be accessed from any computer through Google Chrome or from any mobile device regardless of platform.  Students can access the google Classroom at any time and anywhere.

In this google classroom, we can invite students and students can join a class through a private code. Students can access to the classroom and get the information like how many assignments are there, when is the due date, announcement and for the lesson they can watch the video, they can read the reading materials and so on. This google classroom is a huge time saver as this Classroom can be accessed from a mobile device; teachers and students can participate through their phones or tablets.

A teacher can upload all the assignment with the due date, can make an announcement, and upload all the learning materials such as video, animation and reading materials. Students get informed when they log in this class and they can do the assignment with help of learning materials that have been uploaded in the google classroom and they can submit online on the due date. In this class teacher and students can discuss anything in the discussion forum regardless of the platform where they don’t have to make an appointment to meet and discuss. So, I think google classroom has many benefits to us, specials to the educators.

Through Google Classroom, teachers are easily able to differentiate instruction for learners. Assigning lessons to the whole class, individual students, or groups of students takes just a few simple steps when creating an assignment on the Classwork page. Teachers and students can send emails, post to the stream, send private comments on assignments, and provide feedback on work. Teachers have full control over student comments and posts. I will make sure to use this google classroom knowledge in my real field of teaching as it has many benefits to both teacher and students

ICT in classroom learning

When we say integrating ICT in the classroom it does not mean that using a computer in the classroom if it does not enhance student learning or if it does not add value to teach. Integrating ICT in the classroom means the use of learning technology to introduce, reinforce, supplement and extend skills. If ICT is part of the lesson or included in the lesson or has a proper connection with the lesson that it is called technology is integrated into the classroom.

In our school days, we are taught in the rigid classroom which is dominated by the teacher. We didn’t get the opportunity to learn in the class where the ICT is fully integrated into the learning and teaching process. Now I realize that we lack so many things where it can be solved by using ICT in the classroom. In our school day, we don’t have any idea about power point presentation, internet, YouTube and some of us, we didn’t even saw the computer in their entire school days then think what will be our thinking and learning process is like.

In this 21^st century, it is now a digital world. So, it is high time to integrate ICT in the classroom in the teaching and learning process. In my school days without the use of PowerPoint in the classroom have a lot of inconveniences both for teachers and students? Integrating ICT in the classroom helps to motivate students learning and it also helps to gain the attention of the students.

Through my teaching practice, I came to know that integrating ICT in the classroom in the classroom has a lot of benefits as it gains the attention of the students and it also builds curiosity in the learning. 

They ask a lot of questions as and when they see picture and videos. I knew that more learning was taking place when we integrate ICT into the classroom. For example, in class four there is a topic about the solar system and I introduce the topic by letting them watch an animation of the solar system, Students responded more and they concentrated well when I showed animation compared to the normal class where I can sense the student curiosity to learn more about the topic.

One of the most convenient things in integrating ICT into the classroom was that showing a video clip to the student, we can repeat and pause as and when students have doubts or confusion. Never the less, students can take the PowerPoint presentation and video in their thumb drive for future reference which is very useful.

ICT education in schools plays an important role in student career development. Computer with the internet is the most powerful device that students can use to learn new skills and more advanced version of current lessons. Schools around the globe that teaching student’s basics of computers and the internet which helps in the growth of mentality and moral strength.

The uses of ICT in teaching and learning are growing day by day at high speed. In almost all business, companies, schools using computers for various official operations. New tech tools are coming that helping students to learn better.

Computers and the internet not only helps students to explore creativity and imagination but also help to understand technologies. Students are future leaders for any nation. Current school students are future doctors, engineers, entrepreneurs. So, for education development, it is really important to teach students in schools about computers, the internet and its benefits.

ICT integration plays a vital role in students teaching and learning through hands-on experiences like power points presentation, screening realistic videos, simplifying the learning activities and accessible sources. The world itself is monitored under the system of computer networks, students can reach any parts of the world and they will avail the information beyond their expectation.

reflection on PowerPoint presentation

Technology plays an important role in teaching and learning. In my entire stay in the college of education, I learned many important things, which are essential for my daily life.  Among them, I found technology plays an extra role not only to make the individual’s life easier but to learn many new things which are vital for our own carrier. Here I am going to share one importance of using technology that I have learned, the mindset that I had before the knowledge of using technology and how it benefits me as a future teacher.

Before having knowledge of integrating technology in my learning environment, I had a mindset that the information that we need to learn is available only in the resources from books. Moreover, I felt that students can learn only if the teacher explains things in detail. Later I came to know that technology is one way where we can cater to all kinds of learners and which defines me that I have little or no knowledge about the diversity of the students in learning.

After arriving in this college, the first thing I learned to use technology is about how to develop power point presentation which is very important as well as key features of a teacher. By knowing, how to develop power point presentation, it helps me to shorten the lengthy statements, because one of the criteria of designing power point presentation demands the key points or main ideas of the entire topic. This also helps me to enhance my summarizing skills.

Moreover, in the process of developing a power point presentation, I learned to use different features of the computer in order to make my presentation attractive and meaningful to the audience, which is essential for gaining the attention of the audience. Besides the mentioned points I came to know that knowledge of using technology is must with the people of digital native because of the students of 21^stcentury are enjoying learning with the help of technology, unlike the past. Now I can present the things in the powerpoint with the minimum requirement of time and having the important points present in the text.

ICT use in college

In my last writing I have talk or share about; what is mean by ICT? Why ICT is important? And uses of ICT in teaching and learning.  And in today’s writing I will be focusing on some of the technology used in our collage, which enhance in our learning and teaching. We all know that in this today’s world using technology is second important things in our life. Whereas taking meals is first one. From this statement only we can conclude that how much the technology is vital for our learning. Through technology we can see the world around us, which we haven’t, hear before and reach.

To share some of the facilities or the technology we used in our college is; we used computers, projectors and we used mobile phones. This are the major ones used in our college. Let’s us discussed one by one, how these facilities or technology help in our learning. First one it’s using of computers. As we all know that in college we have to do lots of assignment’s and presentation in the class. Therefore it’s hard to find the right books from the library, instead we just go to the computers lab and we get information and ideas from internet. This is very easy and less time consumption. And therefore we can able to submit assignments on time and we can do presentation on time. This is fulfilling two person desire and wishes.

Second technology that we used in our college is projectors. In each class we have one projector to use for flash up the power point presentation. In olden days we don’t use power point presentation, we use chart papers and other materials. Some may also think that it is not necessary to use projector, as we can use green board and black board for that. As the country develops we should know how to integrate latest technology in teaching and learning. Some of the benefits of using projectors in classroom situation are;both the teachers and students have benefits, teachers need not have to write whole things in charts papers wasting so many materials and energy and need not have to waste the time. And to the learner’s it creates curiosity. Therefore it leads to eagerness and interest in learning. As a outcome there will be good citizens in our country.

The last one it’s mobile phone. This gadget I found it’s really power technology in learning. As we all know are the work it can do. Through phone we can connect around the world, while speaking this it doesn’t mean that through computers can’t we connect? We can, but there are some disadvantages, like we can’t take computers along with us where ever we go. Whereas about phone it’s portable and size is small. And in phone we can make class We Chat group and we can get information easily and on time. We can update the news were ever we are and whenever we like.

ICT in learning

``ICT stands for information and communication technologies. This consists of electronic devices. And ICT is anything which allows us to get information, to communicate with each other. In the world technology is a most wanted among the teenagers and youths. And many students and youth have said that they can learned many things within few minutes through using ICT.

So I think using ICT in learning is very important tool. To share some of the things that I have learned from taking ICT session in the college; i) firstly I have learned to prepared power point presentation, and finding important information from internet. And ICT provides a verity of ways for children to communicate their ideas, thoughts, and feelings.

I think ICT is very useful in learning because, for example if the students miss the class, teachers can upload course documents so that students can download the information and they can do the work in their own work. Through ICT, teachers can easily explain complex instructions and help the children understand better.

 

And because of the ICT, teachers can create interactive classes and make the lessons more enjoyable, which could improve student’s concentration and interest. Use of mobile is one of the combinations with other information and communication technology (ICT). We can use mobile devices to access educational resources, and we can connect with others.
